SirdasApp

Questions and answers

Does Sirdas really never go online?

Yes. The app has no internet permission; if it tried to connect, Android would refuse. Check data usage in your phone's settings and you'll always see 0 B.

Can the app's makers see my passwords?

No. There is no server and no account; your records stay encrypted, only on your phone. Something leaves only when you tap Share or Back up, and goes where you choose.

Can I try it without entering my details?

Yes. The “Demo” button on the lock screen opens a full sample family vault. If asked, the PIN is 123456; your own vault stays separate and locked.

What if I forget my PIN?

Only your recovery key opens the vault. You keep the recovery key and there is no copy anywhere else; store it somewhere safe during setup.

What if my phone is lost or stolen?

The vault locks itself when you leave the app; even if the files are copied, they won't open elsewhere. There is no remote wipe, so keep your phone's own lock and Find My Device on.

How do I move to a new phone?

Make an encrypted backup, install Sirdas on the new phone and restore that backup.

Where are my backups kept?

Where you choose: a Drive folder, a USB stick or an SD card. The backup file is encrypted; manual backup is free on every plan.

What's in the free version?

The whole vault: unlimited records, security analysis, reminder list, backup and 2-step codes on your watch. For you and one loved one.

Are there ads or tracking?

No. There are no ad, analytics or tracking libraries; you're never asked for a name, email or phone number.

Which languages and countries does it support?

It works in 19 languages; for 32 countries, that country's documents, institutions and forms come ready.

Is the source code open? Has it been audited?

The source code is not open and has not been through an independent security audit. You can verify the permissions and network silence yourself on your phone; the Security page shows you step by step.

Is it on iPhone?

For now only on Android, on Google Play. An App Store version is coming soon.

About the plans

What happens when a yearly plan ends?

It doesn't renew and nothing is charged. Your records stay; plan features return when you renew.

What does lifetime mean?

One payment, no end date. It's tied to your Google Play account.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. Moving up from a lifetime plan costs no more than the difference.

Does my data go anywhere for Premium?

No. Google Play handles the purchase, and your vault stays on your phone.

Does the free version limit records?

No. Keep as many records as you like and back up whenever you want.
